Why drink Acai?

Many case studies of the cause of disease are making it increasingly clear that bigger consumption antioxidants may in fact diminish the chances of getting certain kinds of cancers. This ability of the acai berry is possible because it contains vitamins, minerals, fibers and is very rich in photochemical and falconoid. Acai berry Juice has 30 times more of these than red wine.

The Acai Berry which is commonly pronounced a-sigh-ee, is a rather small, round, and black-looking purple. It resembles a grape or a blueberry, but is yet smaller and darker. This fruit has a large seed and minimum amount of pulp. The acai fruit berry is now broadly used in energy juices, ice cream, certain energy bars with granola. You can see a picture of it HERE

Many people have reported having improved digestion and mental focus as an effect of drinking Acai Juice. As with many health drinks, Acai juice has become a popular choice among both the trendy and the health conscious. Several companies now manufacture juices, smoothies, health drinks and sorbets made from Acai berries. Often this is done in combination with other fruits. Some preliminary reports suggest that some women who experience severe symptoms associated with menstrual cycles such as extreme menstrual pain can also benefit from Acai juice. In addition to osteoporosis prevention, one of the chief health benefits of Acai juice is its strong antioxidant activity. Matthew McConaughey , Oprah, Chaka Khan, Kelly Slater, Steve Burton, Mariano Rivera, and Torii Hunter just to name a few, are the superstars and athletes all drinking and promoting Acai in one fashion or another. You can see what others are saying HERE
The fatty acid content in Acai resembles that of olive oil, and is rich in monounsaturated oleic acid. Oleic acid is important for a number of reasons. It helps omega-3 fish oils penetrate the cell membrane; together they help make cell membranes more supple. By keeping the cell membrane supple, all hormones, neurotransmitter and insulin receptors function more efficiently. This is particularly important because high insulin levels create an inflammatory state, and we know, inflammation causes aging.
Need more reasons to drink Acai? Here are 26 reasons why you should be taking this awesome berry. I am someone who drinks Acai, my son who is diabetic also drinks it and has noticed a great improvement in his blood sugar levels. My wife drinks it and complains of joint pain if she misses taking it for a few days. In my own research on myself I believe the Acai to work, like everything else caveat emptor or buyer beware there are a lot of places to buy it and not all of Acai is pure. That will be another topic coming soon.

Have You Driven A Ford Lately?

So have you driven a Ford lately? The 2008 Shelby GT500KR — the most powerful Mustang to date. Inspired by the 1968 Shelby Cobra GT500KR, this “King of the Road” has 550 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a Tremec TR6060 six-speed manual transmission and 3.73:1 rear axle ratio, upgraded from the standard GT500’s 3.31:1. Gear selection is courtesy of an all-new Ford Racing short-throw shifter making its debut on the KR. Topped with a white ball, the new shifter is 25 percent shorter than the unit on the GT500 providing for crisper, sharper shifts.

Ford SVT, Ford Racing and Team Shelby worked together to develop the KR’s suspension tuning. Based on initial work by Ford Racing and the team at Shelby, often at Shelby’s own facility on the grounds of Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Ford SVT chassis engineers will apply fine tuning techniques to prepare it for the streets.
“The production Shelby GT500 was maximized to deliver the perfect balance between ride and handling,” said Jamal Hameedi, chief nameplate engineer, Ford SVT. “In that same ride versus handling continuum, the KR will lean heavier towards all-out handling while still making it drivable on the street.”

The Cobra pictured is equipped with Sirus Satellite radio, HID headlamps, GT500 Premium Trim Package, Shaker 1000 Audio System, and Ambient Lighting.
